A cryptic new post from Starfield's social media team appears to be hinting that a new, major announcement is incoming. It has been nearly two years since the original launch of Starfield, and the game's second anniversary on September 6 could include more details regarding what's still to come for the space action-RPG.
Bethesda had already been a big name in the action-RPG world for years, thanks to its work on The Elder Scrolls and later games in the Fallout franchise when it unveiled Starfield in 2018. Though its popularity has not lived up to the standard set by its two older sibling franchises, Bethesda is firmly committed to its original IP, continuing to provide updates for the game despite mixed reactions from its player community still lingering.
In a new post on the game's official Twitter page, the development team thanks players who have stood by the game and enjoyed exploring the Settled Systems. The post also includes a 12-second animation that, at first glance, appears to just be celebrating the game's second anniversary.
