I've heard Borderlands 4 has a bajillion guns, but I've not had the chance to verify this claim myself. What has been verified is an absurd weapon combo that one-shots bosses, and it all hinges on a specific purple drop. This combination was discovered by the content creator Moxsy.
Purple (or Epic) is the second-highest tier of rarity in Borderlands 4.
The weapon in question is the Quincunx Stellium, a Maliwan shotgun. It has an alternative fire mode that shoots spinning discs. As you may know, attaching a Jakobs licensed part to a weapon makes projectiles ricochet between enemies on a critical hit.
If you combine a Quincunx Stellium with a Jakobs licensed part and a throwing knife with the penetrator augment, which causes all hits on a target to become critical hits, then you have yourself an unstoppable death spiral.
Moxsy demonstrates this in the above video, firing a projectile at the foot of a boss and watching its health bar evaporate in just a couple of seconds. The ball of death even makes an awful, grating noise as it performs its dark work.
