TinyBuild Reveals Four New Games Coming Soon

on | OpenCritic

TinyBuild, the publishing label with the distinctive orange logo and an apparent penchant for offbeat games, has announced four new games are coming soon. The games range from serious survival-horror experiences to the spiritual successor to Goat Simulator, reminding us that it's not a TinyBuild party unless you're looking on thinking, "wait what?"

Pigeon Simulator is exactly what it sounds like - that is, if you're familiar with Goat Simulator, the absurd physics playground game that awed fans with its humor and bugs in equal measure. Like that cult classic, Pigeon Simulator isn't exactly about simulating what it's like to be a pigeon. Rather, it's in on the joke of its own chaotic experimental gameplay. Here's more from the team:

Play as the world's most notorious birds and help them in their quests for revenge, love, and world domination. Poop on everyone. Destroy everything. Join the Pigeon Revolution! The re-make, reimagining, non-sequel of Bossa Studios' 2019 hit prototype!

Also revealed was Expedition Zero, a first-person horror/survival experience set in rural Siberia. The game looks chilling, literally, as the freezing conditions can't freeze over the apparent supernatural entities dwelling there. See for yourself in this debut trailer.

Also coming soon is Potion Craft, a game not as similar to Minecraft as its name implies. In Potion Craft, players run their own alchemy shop, inventing recipes, drawing in customers, and testing new (and possibly dangerous) products.

Lastly, there's Despot's Game, a rather mysterious 2D rougelite tactics game that doesn't want to give too much away yet. Here's the unique premise from the team:

A group of people wake up in a strange post-apocalyptic labyrinth — naked, with no memories and with a bunch of weapons. Is this a joke, a crazy experiment, or... a game? You'll find out soon enough, just try not to die first!

Sounds a bit like Saw 2 to me, but I'm eager to see how it comes together. While these games haven't confirmed all platforms or launch dates just yet, players can jump in now for demos in Steam for three of them, while the demo for Pigeon Simulator is said to be coming soon.
