Blue Dot Games, the developers of the upcoming squad-based shooter '83, have released a third batch of gameplay details as the game fights its way toward early access. Previous "Developer Tapes" offered an overview of the game and a look at the game's factions, with one bonus tape offering some voice acting insight. Today, though, we dive into the game with much more detail.
'83's third Developer tape, on top of offering tactical insights on key game mechanics, focuses in on the game's several classes — highlighting how each squad member will have their own special role to fill in a game.
Squads, consisting of one squad leader and nine other players with have their own voice channel for co-ordinating between themselves, giving key squad members the information they need to best use their role.
And on the subject of squads, thay won't have a totally freeform composition. Most roles will have a limited number of occupants - for example, you can only have one squad leader, or two Machine Gunners.
