Like past entries in the larger Borderlands franchise, Borderlands 4 has oodles of guns — actually "billions" if Gearbox is to be believed — and dozens upon dozens of enemies to use those guns against.
That said, according to hardcore fans of the looter shooter, Borderlands 4 is missing one key element of past Borderlands titles. No, we're not talking about toilet humor. Instead, simulated gambling.
As first spotted on Reddit, Borderlands 4 players are feeling sad that the "Ca$h Trap" slot machines are nowhere to be found in the most recent entry.
For those not in the know, beginning with Borderlands 2, the series introduced some variable slot machines for players to dump their hard-earned cash into. Those machines can drop anything from weapons to live grenades, or extra cash.
It was a fun little distraction with a very Borderlands-like twist, but is not available in Borderlands 4.
"Since we have nothing else to spend our money on, this would be a welcome addition," one user wrote in response, basically summing up everyone's feelings on the issue.
