Pokémon Sword and Shield is celebrating Valentine's Day with a Max Raid event featuring a certain Fairy-type Pokémon.

Players can get into the Valentine's Day mood right now in Pokémon Sword and Shield's current Max Raid event. On the official Pokémon website, it was announced that players can participate in a Max Raid event that will last through this Sunday, February 14th. During this time, players will more likely encounter the cream Pokémon Milcery when they enter Max Raid dens. When gamers complete a Max Raid Battle against a Milcery, they will be rewarded with Sweets. This includes the Star Sweets and Ribbon Sweets, which are only available during special events. These Sweets will be able to evolve Milcery into one of the many different forms of Alcremie.

During the Valentine's Day Max Raid event, any Milcery caught will evolve into an Alcremie that will be able to Gigantamax. Since Pokémon that can Gigantamax are incredibly hard to find, players should take advantage of this event in order to get a few Milcery that will carry the Gigantamax factor. It was also revealed that there will be a small chance to encounter a shiny Milcery during this event as well.

In other recent Pokémon Sword and Shield news, the Cramorant Max Raid event has come to an end, and was a success. Players were able to complete the challenge by defeating over one million Crmaorant. As a reward for completing the challenge, players will be rewarded with a number of items. These items include a Gold Bottle Cap, Flame Orbs, Toxic Orbs, and 3 Pearl Strings. Gamers can receive their items through the game's Mystery Gift option in the main menu, and will have until February 28th to do so.

Pokémon Sword and Shield are available now for the Nintendo Switch.
