Borderlands 4 Players Don't Understand Why Gearbox Selected Moxxi's Bar As The End-Game Hub

Games discussed:

Players are already flying through Borderlands 4, with dedicated players now spending their time grinding for end-game loot, theorycrafting busted builds, or restarting the game to play through it with a different character.

There is a lot of end-game content in Borderlands 4, including the various difficulty levels of Ultimate Vault Hunter, which powers up enemies in exchange for better loot rewards. There's Moxxi's Big Encore Machine, which allows you to farm bosses without closing and re-opening the game to respawn them. Optimisation mechanics like firmware and specialisations allow you to keep refining your Vault Hunter long after you've rolled credits.

For veteran players, a lot of the time they spend on Borderlands 4 is spent in the end-game. It would appear this was a particular focus for Gearbox with Borderlands 4, but one of the studio's decisions has baffled fans.

Moxxi's Bottoms Up! is designated as the hub for Borderlands 4's end-game content, but her fine establishment doesn't have all the bells and whistles that players want. For example, as pointed out by Varleyhero, the bar doesn't have a firmware machine, which is an integral part of end-game optimisation.
