Originally announced as Project Mugen in 2023 before being officially retitled at the end of 2024, ANANTA is a currently in-development free-to-play game developed by Naked Rain and published by NetEase.
Initial trailers have shown the game to be set in a sprawling city teeming with both sci-fi and fantasy motifs, with players navigating using a combination of Grand Theft Auto-style reckless driving and Spider-Man-esque swinging between buildings.
The few glimpses we’ve gotten of the game’s setting have been impressively massive, though the latest trailer released ahead of this year’s Tokyo Game Show gives us the most multifaceted view yet.
ANANTA Will Be Playable at TGS 2025
The new ANANTA gameplay trailer, which is a whopping seven minutes long, shows our protagonist character, known only as Captain, exploring the city and getting up to all manner of shenanigans. While just walking the streets, all kinds of random, bizarre events seem to crop up, from car chases to street brawls to guerrilla concerts.
