It only took a few years, but the latest hotfix for Baldur’s Gate 3 has resulted in a native Steam Deck build for the game, one that promises better performance than ever before.

Baldur’s Gate 3 launched on PC and PS5, and fans were eager to see how it worked on Steam Deck at release. The results were spotty for a while, especially when the player reached Act 3, where the NPCs in Baldur’s Gate 3 caused the performance to tank, but it was gradually improved over time.

While Larian Studios might be hard at work on its next project, it’s still releasing updates for Baldur’s Gate 3. A new post on the official Baldur’s Gate 3 website has announced that Hotfix #34 comes with a build of the game intended for the Steam Deck, with a number of improvements.
