Modders Again Unsilents The Hills By Removing Fog In Silent Hill f

Back in the days of the first PlayStation, there wasn't the luxury of releasing updates to fix bugs after launching the game, so the developers had to work while keeping the system's hardware restrictions in mind. This led to many creative solutions, and one of the best examples of it was fog in the first Silent Hill.

Since the system couldn't render the entire town without having issues. Thus, to give players a better performance, the developers covered the town in fog. This way, the only things that got rendered were what's in the surroundings of the player.

But since it did elevate the horror experience, it became an aesthetic of the game, and has been a core theme of Silent Hill. Luckily, if you are playing on a PC, with the help of mods, you can remove the fog altogether. Someone had already made it for the Silent Hill 2 remake, and now one is out for their latest Silent Hill f.
