That Anime Game That Looks Like Every Other Game Apparently Has 800 People Working On It

If you've been on the Internet at all over these past few days, aside from seeing the hype stemming from the re-reveal of Marvel's Wolverine during PlayStation's State of Play presentation, it's likely you've seen clips from a game called Ananta, AKA the game that is seemingly copying every other game in existence.

If you haven't, well then, this post on Twitter just about sums up the sheer fever pitch that is this upcoming title from NetEase.

And yes, to answer that last question: Ananta is real, though it doesn't have an official release date or window. Pre-registrations are live, however, and the official website notes that a whopping 12,912,452 people have already registered. Speaking of whoppers, the title's staff size has also been revealed and, well, it's also massive.

As first reported by Push Square, via an interview with Denfaminicogamer, Ananta's staff sits between 700 and 800 people. Not even Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, a game that will likely end 2025 as a Game of the Year contender, had that many developers working on the project.
