Hollow Knight: Silksong Dataminer Finds Reference To First Game That Could Be Cut Content Or DLC

An eagle-eyed Hollow Knight fan has found a very interesting unused crest in Silksong's files that could be a piece of cut content or even a hint towards DLC.

One of the defining traits of Hollow Knight: Silksong is that it took a bloody long time to make, with Team Cherry spending nearly seven years crafting it and basically being silent that whole time. The results do speak for themselves, though, as Silksong is one of the most detailed and massive indies in recent memory.

Not everything that was conceived for Silksong made it into the final game, though. We already know that a massive area got removed from the final build of the game, Red Coral Gorge, but it seems that there might be even more that Team Cherry didn't end up using. At least, not yet, anyway.

Over on the Silksong subreddit, Redditor Erictor04 shared a rather interesting discovery. After diving into Silksong's files, Erictor04 came across an image containing all of the game's crests, from Reaper and Witch to Shaman and Hunter. That map of crests contains one that isn't in the final game, though.
