NetEase Hears Our Cries, As Cross-Progression Is Finally Coming To Marvel Rivals

Marvel Rivals is out on four separate platforms, and has cross-play between all of them - but you can't really change which platform you're playing on. Well, you can, but you'll have to make an entirely new account, meaning you lose all of your progression and cosmetics.

Now, NetEase is finally doing something about this. As of Season 5, Marvel Rivals will have cross-progression between all platforms, letting you just sign in wherever you play, and keep everything you've unlocked on your profile.

Announcing the feature, creative director Guangyun Chen - better known as Guangguang - said that it is a "top priority" for developers, following requests from fans. It will be available to all players when Season 5 starts, which is likely sometime in November.

However, some players will get access to it even sooner. Guangguang tells us that a small group of players will be invited to test cross-progression before its wider release, as part of Season 4.5. This kicks off on October 5, so keep an eye out to see if NetEase invites you to try out this new feature.
