The upcoming FPS game, Hell Let Loose: Vietnam, will recreate the conflict of the Vietnam War by immersing players in large-scale jungle warfare battles. Team 17 and development partner Expression Games, are going above and beyond to ensure the authenticity of the weaponry, animations, and audio in their new game, and have been working closely with the Royal Armouries since 2024.
The Hell Let Loose: Vietnam development team captured images, scans, video, and audio recordings of weapons from the Royal Armouries extensive collection, and have used the material to give gamers a historically accurate glimpse of what it was like for a soldier during the Vietnam War.
Players will have the choice to play as either the US Armed Forces or the North Vietnamese Army, and deploy tanks, helicopters, and mortars, or build tunnels and utilize stealth tactics to set up ambushes.
