Several elements of Battlefield 6 were overhauled following the closed beta earlier this year, and while many of these changes were for the better - like drastically reducing the red Doritos and sniper glints plaguing every map - the pendulum swung a little too far in the other direction for the Assault class.

The Adrenaline Injector now gives you a slight speed increase, makes enemy footsteps more audible, and reduces screen effects (i.e. flash bangs and explosions). But you only get a few seconds before it wears off, so you have to use it right before fighting an enemy, and the animation leaves you incredibly vulnerable, putting you at an even bigger disadvantage.

u/n0tAgOat is far from alone in thinking that these changes have rendered the gadget "useless": "You have to use it just moments before going into a room, but using it that close to the action gets you killed 50% of the time while waiting for the animation to finish," they posted to over 5,000 upvotes. "It's literally better to just NOT use your class gadget".

This is a stark contrast to the beta, where the Adrenaline Injector was a vital part of the Assault toolkit,...
