Resident Evil Village, sometimes referred to as Resident Evil 8, is only a few weeks from launch, and players can consider picking it up on a newly revealed platform: Google Stadia. The news was announced today as part of Capcom's 25th Anniversary celebration for the series.
The launch will include a special bundle just for Stadia players. Those who pre-order or purchase the game on Stadia before May 21 will receive a Stadia Premiere Edition at no charge. That includes a Chromecast Ultra, a Stadia controller, and the game all for the price of just the game, $59.99, or $69.99 for those wanting the game's Deluxe Edition. The deal is a repackaging of a similar one Stadia offered for Cyberpunk 2077, which fortunately for Stadia and its players ended up being one of the best places to play the otherwise troubled game.
To prepare players for Resident Evil coming to Google's cloud-based gaming platform, Stadia Pro subscribers can play Resident Evil 7 as part of their subscription starting on April 1. The Pro version is even the Gold Edition, which includes the base game, plus "includes bonus add-on content like Banned Footage Vol. 1 and 2 and two epilogue episodes."
