Hades 2's Latest Update Has Changed The True Ending That Nobody Liked

Hades 2's 1.0 launch finally revealed the game's true ending, which I won't spoil here. Much like the first title, Melinoe needs to complete multiple runs of the underworld and surface path in order to see the final ending and rid the world of the time tyrant Chronos. Unfortunately, this true ending didn't live up to the expectations of fans.

With the amount of grinding required on two separate fronts, players were expecting a jaw-dropping conclusion that the game didn't really deliver. Several plot points were left unresolved as well, like Hypnos' story. In order to fix this lack of a gratifying ending Supergiant has changed things up in its first patch after the game's full launch.

The patch notes for the update reveal several changes and balances to blessings and boons, but the stand-out change is arguably the revised version of the true ending. Supergiant isn't shy about changing this after the backlash Hades 2 received for its true ending, and it has also added a feature that lets you experience it without grinding all over again.
