For the third time in as many games, IO Interactive has made some portion of its latest Hitman installment free for all players. Think of it like a demo. A big, bloody demo.

Permanently free is the pair of missions, ICA Facility and Hawke's Bay from Hitman and Hitman 2 respectively. Even if you've never played Hitman before, these two missions can be accessed totally for free.

For a limited time, players can even access the first level of Hitman 3 . Dubai is now free across all platforms and for all players as part of the "Hitman 3 Free Starter Pack." This gives you access to the Top of the World mission, which sees Agent 47 infiltrating the grand opening of a new-money skyscraper, drenched in gold and lavishly decorated. It's exactly the sort of place the bald assassin is used to doing his dirty work, and it's one of the sequel's six levels overall. This mission will be included with the Free Starter Pack until April 5, after which time it won't be accessible to players who are playing via the trial.

Hitman 3 launched in January to high praise, earning one of the year's best OpenCritic scores of 86, with 92% of the 162 critics weighing in giving the game a favorable review. It was the year's best-rated game, in fact, until it was usurped by both It Takes Two (88) and Monster Hunter Rise (87), though as reviews continue to trickle in, we'll have to see if those averages hold.
