Halo Fans Feel Campaign Evolved Removes The Original Feel Of The Forerunner Architecture

Most of us are still reeling from the fact that a Halo game is launching on PlayStation. Just a few days ago, we learnt that Halo: Campaign Evolved, a full remake of Combat Evolved, will launch on PS5, with completely revamped visuals and improved gameplay. Now that the dust has settled, fans have begun breaking down the trailer.

It doesn't really show much apart from the current-gen visuals, character models, and tighter gameplay, but it surely looks like a remake that will stay faithful to the original. While the devs did say that certain segments will be tweaked to improve the experience, it seems some fans think the remake has changed too much.

One of the biggest changes that you may notice is the style of the Forerunner architecture. The blocky, time-worn structures now look sharp, sleek, and shiney. While it doesn't really make a difference in gameplay, it does change the vibe from the original. If the aim of the remake was to capture the nostalgia of Halo: Combat Evolved, this change in architectural design takes away from it.
