Oblivion Remastered is supposed to be the definitive way to play the fourth mainline Elder Scrolls game, but for some, that is far from the truth. Ever since an update in July, players have complained about performance issues, particularly stuttering. Some say that the game actually runs worse now than it did at launch - and, of course, the update had the added bonus of messing with everyone's modded saves.
Now, it's been almost four months since the last patch, and there's no word on when, or even if, we're getting another one. In the meantime, players are losing hope and leaving negative reviews on the Oblivion Remastered Steam page to warn others of the problems they're facing on PC.
"I've had it on the digital shelf for some time now, waiting and praying for another update with QoL and performance fixes," says Reddit user switchkick562. "But it's starting to seem like they just abandoned it."
Others feel much the same, even those who have already started playing the game. "Beat the main quest and basically don’t plan to return to it unless they fix the stuttering. Makes me really sad," says RandyMuscle.
