Borderlands 4's Latest Update Accidentally Brings Back The Broken Crit Knife

Broken builds are a part and parcel of the Borderlands series. Whether they let you one-shot a boss or wipe an entire area without even firing a shot, fans love mixing and matching items until they become perfect killing machines. The crit knife meta was prevalent in Borderlands 4 until it was recently fixed.

However, it seems it has somehow returned after yesterday's weekly update. The highlight of the update was that farming the Bod shotgun would become easier, but it seems something went wrong with the adjustment for throwing knives that caused the infamous crit knife to return. Gearbox somehow missed this one after adjusting it only recently.

As showcased via LazyData's video on Twitter (via GamesRadar), it definitely looks like the 100 percent crit knife has made a return after just getting patched. It seems the damage and time is unintentionally stacking, making you dole out tons of critical damage after throwing a few of them at an enemy. Players are pretty surprised that the devs missed this.

The patch notes mentioned, "Corrected the Knife Penetrator Augment, which was unintentionally setting all attacks to a 30% critical chance." It seems something has gone wrong here that has...
