Polymarket's begun to take bets (literally) on who's going to win The Game Awards' loftiest prize, Game of the Year. One might think there's stiff competition. This has, after all, been quite a year for bangers. One, however, would be mistaken.
At least, that's how early betters feel as of October 31, over a month before the ceremony. I don't personally condone gambling, and I'm not a complete expert on how this stuff works, but I will say, I'd be surprised if things were to change drastically between now and then. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has been a massively popular frontrunner since its release all the way back in April, and not even the long-awaited Hollow Knight: Silksong may be enough to thwart its trajectory.
First reported on Kotaku, Polymarket's "Game of the Year 2025" betting page is open, and as of this writing, a single buy-in for Clair Obscur requires an 84-cent (USD) placement.
