Rockstar Games co-founder Dan Houser has finally explained what happened to one of the studio's most well-known cancelled projects - Agent.
Rockstar is one of the most prolific gaming developers out there (even if it's slowed down a lot in recent generations) and, in its 26-year tenure, there are only a handful of games and projects that it's ended up not releasing. Not counting Bully 2 since it was never formally announced, Rockstar's biggest cancelled game is, without a doubt, Agent.
Originally teased all the way back in 2007 with a simple logo, Agent was set to be an open-world spy thriller that took place during the Cold War in the '70s. That sadly didn't end up coming to pass, as Agent never saw the light of day, something that, until now, Rockstar has never really talked about.
