Low Settings Are Apparently Giving Arc Raiders PC Players Unfair Advantages

After nearly four years since its announcement at the 2021 edition of The Game Awards, Arc Raiders is officially out in the wild, and by all accounts, is seemingly a really solid extraction shooter with some extremely kind work behind the scenes.

In the lead-up to its release, developer Embark Studios adjusted the game's regional pricing for lower income countries, ensuring everyone has access to the game at a fair cost. Elsewhere, if you happen to lose your items because of cheaters, hackers or some other unfair disadvantage, you'll actually get those items back.

Speaking of disadvantages, it appears that Arc Raiders players are at the mercy of those opting to run the game at "Low" settings on PC. Now, they're calling on Embark to remedy the issue before things spiral out of control.

As first spotted on Reddit, Arc Raiders players running the game at "Low" settings are able to spot enemy players more easily than someone who is running the game at "Medium," "High" or "Epic" levels, creating a rather unfair disadvantage for those playing on the other side.
