Battlefield 6 Players Find Workaround To Avoid Console Players On PC

Battlefield 6 is currently occupying the ever-changing pinnacle of console first-person shooters, and with that role comes the usual debates regarding skill-based matchmaking and excessive aim assist.

As in every multiplatform shooter, controllers benefit from aim assistance to negate some of their inherent imprecision. There's no aim assist for mouse players, which often creates an imbalance.

With the advent of crossplay in every major multiplayer shooter, PC players feel they're at an inherent disadvantage if they use a mouse and keyboard. It's unlikely these players will change to a controller because using a mouse in a first-person shooter feels far more satisfying, even if it's underpowered.

Of course, console players often have the complete opposite complaint, i.e, that mouse aiming is far superior to controller aiming and playing with a mouse offers an unfair advantage.

However, at the professional level of console-focused shooters like Halo and Call of Duty, almost every player uses a controller because of the relative power of aim assist, weakening the argument of controller players.
