Battlefield 6 Lead Pleads Players To "Stick It Out" With Bots For A Few Minutes, As The Alternative Is Waiting Forever

While microtransactions, map sizes, and colourful skins comprise the bulk of the community's issues with Battlefield 6, there are also those that have been complaining about servers filled with bots. This is something Dice had announced would happen if servers take too long to fill in, but some players just aren't happy with it.

In fact, the complaints have gotten so incessant that lead producer David Sirland created a long Twitter thread to explain why some players have been encountering so many bots, despite the game having a massive player count. Essentially, bots are the alternative to waiting forever for the server to fill up.

"It's clear there is confusion on what makes bots be in games in BF6," tweeted Sirland. "Let's break it down. Bots enter the game on regular playlists ONLY under these conditions: players kickstart a lobby for a playlist, and the pre-round takes longer than X minutes (I believe 3 minutes). At that point, the bots fill the server to the necessary limit to start the game."
