Guilty Gear Strive's second beta will start soon.

It has been announced that the second Guilty Gear Strive beta will begin on May 13th for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 owners. The beta will run through May 16th. The beta can be preloaded right now. Those who have the previous beta from earlier this year do not need to redownload the client. The client will just update to the latest version. Those who wish to participate in the beta do not need to be PlayStation Plus members to join. Save data from the beta will not be carried over to the final game when it releases.

A number of modes will be available during the beta. Players will be able to try out Versus Mode, Tutorial Mode, Training Mode, and Online Matches. However, Player Matches (player created rooms) will not be available during this beta. All 15 of the game's characters will be playable during the beta. There will also be cross-play functionality between the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

A number of changes and balances have been made since the last beta. In Online Mode, players can now select a Duel Station to queue up for battles. A rematch function has also been added. In the Rank Tower, players will be able to rematch up to three times, or until their recommended floor changes. In the Open Park, players can rematch each other as many times as they wish. Gameplay adjustments were also made. When the same move is used more than a set number of times in a combo, opponents will fall more quickly. Recovery time has been increased after blocking an attack in mid-air. The overall balance of the game has been adjusted, ranging from general gameplay mechanics to individual character abilities.

Guilty Gear Strive will release on June 11th. The game will release for PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
