Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 launched a few weeks ago and was met with heavy criticism from both players and critics – so much so that it quickly became the franchise’s worst launch on Steam, even leading to refunds after the use of undisclosed AI-generated materials came to light.
Now, it seems Electronic Arts wants to take advantage of the moment to highlight its own military shooter competitor: Battlefield 6. Well, no pain, no gain, right?
EA Unleashes California Resistance and Invites Players for a Free Week
Battlefield 6 recently gave a warm welcome to its latest update, titled the California Resistance, that adds a bunch of season content for the main multiplayer and the REDSEC version (which is free-to-play), including a new map, free weapons, special missions, and even a time-limited mode.
In order to celebrate the arrival of content, EA announced that the game will be free to play for an entire week on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, from November 25 to December 2.
It is a limited version of Battlefield, but that includes access to three different maps (Siege of Cairo, Eastwood, and Blackwell Fields) and five multiplayer modes...
