One that belongs to the latter category is Dead Rising, which has only received a single, contentious remaster in the nine years since 2016's Dead Rising 4. According to a new leak, that's all set to change.
A report from MP1st claims that a new entry in the Dead Rising series has been in development since 2023 or before. The new game, set in Hollywood, will feature the return of iconic series protagonist Frank West. MP1st suggests that the game may take place before Dead Rising 2 as a direct sequel to the original, but notes that this aspect hasn't been officially confirmed.
The MP1st report is still missing a lot of specifics, but it does contain some other interesting claims. Frank's journey will intersect with some other "major survivors," and previous characters like Isabela Keyes are set to make a return. It also reportedly features the return of a time limit, a classic mechanic that was abandoned in Dead Rising 4.
