A number of seasonal items have been available to purchase in Animal Crossing: New Horizons (via GameSpot). In order to celebrate China's Dragon Boat Festival and Korea's Dano Festival, players can purchase zongzi and surichwi tteok from Nook Shopping. The items will be available to players until June 14th, and will cost gamers 1,000 bells each.

A number of other seasonal items available in New Horizons as well. To celebrate the wedding season, various weeding themed items, such as a nuptial bell, are available to purchase. There are also items available to celebrate Father's Day, which includes a mug and apron. Finally, the cape and crown meant to celebrate International Children's Day are available, and will be until June 15th. All of these items will range between 300 to 4,500 bells. For those that are in the Northern Hemisphere, summer shells will appear on beaches. Throughout the summer, these items can be found and used to craft summer-themed items.

New Horizons is currently in the midst of a month long event. For the rest of the month of June, players can participate in the Wedding Season event. During this event, gamers can meet with Cyrus and Reese, who got married last year during this time. They will be able to take pictures with the couple. There will also be event themed clothing and furniture, which will be available to purchase through Nook Shopping and the Able Sisters' shop.

Last month it was revealed that New Horizons was unsurprisingly a massive hit. As of March 31st, 2021, the game has sold over 35 million copies. The title's launch was very successful, selling 11.77 million copies in the first 11 days or release alone. According to a report from Famitsu, New Horizons and the Nintendo Switch were the biggest sellers in video games in Japan in the year 2020.
