It's still unclear whether an official Fallout: New Vegas remaster will ever come, but the next best thing might have just dropped. 15 years after its release, Fallout: New Vegas is a masterpiece propped up on a shaky foundation. The visible cracks in the Gamebryo Engine don't ruin the incredible experience, but they do require a certain tolerance for imperfection (or a long list of mods).
A Fallout: New Vegas fan named Greg Coulthard has now ported the map into Unreal Engine 5, as reported by DSOGaming. This doesn't actually make the game playable in full in the engine, but it does provide a look at Fallout: New Vegas in a more modern context. Like Coulthard's Unreal Engine 5 port of Morrowind, it's possible to look around the map, but not to engage with gameplay mechanics or complete quests.
