You Really Are Being Matched Up With Arc Raiders Players Based On How You Behave, So Be Nice

Arc Raiders' players have been trying to figure out how its matchmaking works since before it launched. Even now, we still don't have a definitive answer. However, evidence that the way we behave and interact with other players plays a role continues to stack up.

Writers at PC Gamer shared feedback about their experience with lobbies and matchmaking in Arc Raiders, noting that while playing nicely with others, they were usually paired up with players who were friendly and helpful. That was until they decided to shoot somebody, at which point everything changed.

After that, the players in their lobbies became much more hostile. Rather than everyone looking out for each other, the aim of the game is dog-eat-dog. A battle to survive not only against the robots, but also against the other human players who were previously happy to help.

It took them a while, but after behaving themselves and repeatedly noting that they didn't enjoy the PvP experience when asked, they eventually found themselves back in the friendly lobbies again. YouTuber Domi has gone a step further. They set up two accounts and played in a friendly way using one, and more aggressively in the other....
