Dying Light: The Beast was barely present at The Game Awards 2025, where Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 won almost everything. However, fans of the series haven't been complaining, as it's arguably the best game in the series. Techland revealed that it will refocus on Dying Light 2, after The Beast's successful launch, but it looks like something else is in the works.

The studio's careers page has revealed that it has begun hiring for a number of new roles for an upcoming project. The good news for fans is that it will be based in the Dying Light franchise, but the job description refers to it as a "new online experience". While nothing is official yet, we could be getting a multiplayer Dying Light game.

As spotted by PCGamesN, the studio has published job listings for a number of departments, including programming, animation, art, design, and publishing. Among them is one for a lead online game designer, with the job description saying, "Define the framework and structure for a new online experience in the Dying Light franchise."
