Like Larian's Last Three Games, Divinity Will Be Turn-Based And Multiplayer Friendly

When we think of the Larian formula, we think of going out on an adventure with a party and taking down our foes in turn-based combat. However, this was only locked in with Divinity: Original Sin, so when a new Divinity game was announced at The Game Awards, it was unclear how it would play.

Now, Larian head Swen Vincke has confirmed that, once again, Divinity will be turn-based. Better yet, it will also boast the co-op multiplayer from its last three games, letting us partner up with friends on a journey that should feel right at home for anyone who liked Baldur's Gate 3.

In an interview that will go out later today, Vincke cleared up the confusion surrounding Divinity's gameplay.

"Originally, the criticism of BG3 was that it was Divinity: Original Sin 3. So there was a lot of DNA from Original Sin that was brought into BG3," Vincke says. "If you like BG3, you're going to like this one. It's a turn-based RPG, it's got co-op multiplayer."

Some fans had assumed that, since this game is dropping the "Original Sin" subheading, Divinity would play like one of the previous...
