Borderlands 4 has launched its new Season's Lootings holiday event, featuring some pretty absurd drop rates for Legendary loot until January 8, 2026. Players can hop in now and take advantage of the opportunity to get some of Borderlands 4's Legendary items at a much quicker rate than before. Gearbox has also made three Big Encore Bosses active at the same time, giving the development team time to relax during the holiday season.
Since the launch of Borderlands 4, Gearbox has tried to keep up with the live-service elements of the game, with frequent in-game events to keep players returning to Kairos. Some would say it's been to mixed effect so far - the game has suffered dwindling player counts from its strong launch, leading some to question whether the developer had taken the right approach with Borderlands 4. In particular, BL4's Halloween event came in for particular criticism, with players feeling that Gearbox had introduced a boring grind for what was ultimately not very worthwhile rewards. Hopefully, the new holiday event will send it the other way and take away a lot of the grind from one area of Borderlands 4.
