This year's Game Awards were a big one for Larian and Baldur's Gate 3. Alongside revealing its new title, Divinity, and causing a load of controversy online afterward, Baldur's Gate 3 scooped up its third consecutive Best Community Support award.
While Larian-made content may have finished, the panel obviously recognizes the studio's commitment to keeping the game fresh, alive, and fully functional.
"We've never had it like this..."
Over the past few months, Larian has steadily been porting user-generated content from PC to consoles for players to enjoy, and, over the last few hours, the company has added 24 more pieces, including a range of new subclasses and, arguably, more importantly, cat backpacks.
While PC Baldur's Gate 3 players have access to almost 16,000 pieces of user-created content, the same can't be said for console players. It's down to Larian to approve and port this content from PC to console, and luckily, the studio does it at a steady pace. It's likely one of the reasons it's so prolific at winning the Best Community Support award.
