God of War Coming to PC in January

Games discussed:

Sony is slowly putting more of its first party titles on PC, and the next is the biggest yet. God of War releases on Steam  and Epic Game Store January 14th.

That's right, soon you'll see Kratos grace the front page of Steam, just in time for people to catch up on the story before Ragnarok releases hopefully sometime next year. This release of God of War follows Days Gone, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Uncharted 4 sometime in the future.

The PC version of God of War includes some upgrades, like access to better graphics. You'll be able to pump up the resolution, quality of shadows, and a whole lot more. Nvidia's DLSS will also be supported.

Don't go in expecting a totally new-looking game, however. For most on PC, this gives people access to higher framerates, which we all know PC people obsess over.

If you do decide to get God of War on PC (if you haven't played it yet, you should), you'll get some bonus digital content:

  • Death’s Vow Armor Sets for Kratos and Atreus
  • Exile’s Guardian Shield Skin
  • Buckler of the Forge Shield Skin
  • Shining Elven Soul Shield Skin
  • Dökkenshieldr Shield Skin

In the blog post announcing God of War making its way to PC, PlayStation said they'll have more information about God of War coming to PC in the coming months, so there may be some surprises left.

Sitting at a 95 on OpenCritic, God of War is not only one of the best-reviewed games in recent years, it is one of the best reviewed games of all time. If you haven't had a chance to play it yet, but this gives you the chance to do so, now's the time.
