The wait is almost over and you can soon create your cult and perform dark rituals as a cute and cuddly lamb in just a few days on August 11th, and now we have the Cult of the Lamb review embargo details.

The review embargo for Cult of the Lamb is set for August 10th at 8:00 a.m. PST. Be sure to check the Cult of the Lamb page for all the reviews when they come out.

In Cult of the Lamb, you play as one of the cutest animals in the animal kingdom that is then turned into one of the most darkest and violent there is. You were saved by a dark being whose payment for saving your life is charging that lamb with the task of creating a cult to worship them.

Of course, you commit to that repayment fully by seeking out followers and destroying rival cults. Cult of the Lamb is a roguelike where you explore interesting regions of the world as you grow your cult and destroy the lesser ones around you. I'm sure there's no catch right?

Here's what some previews had to say about Cult of the Lamb, which were generally very positive:

Ars Technica: "After spending 90 minutes with the game, I craved more."

TechRaptor: "If I were a betting man, I’d say it’s worth keeping this on your Game of the Year contender cards..."

Rock Paper Shotgun: "The concept of Cult Of The Lamb is great and often funny, plus the dungeon runs are layered enough to stay interesting. At the same time, I can see that the colony sim might become an actual chore, leading to you grinding the same section of dungeon again and again to get enough wood to build a new load of sleeping bags."

Cult of the Lamb releases on August 11th for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
