Stranger Things Season 5: Fan-Favorite Actor's Return May Be More Likely Than Expected

The Stranger Things season 5 cast may include a fan-favorite character who met their demise. According to the actor behind the role, the likelihood of this character's return is high.

Stranger Things season 4 introduced Joseph Quinn's Eddie Munson, a Hawkins High School student and leader of the Hellfire Club, a Dungeons & Dragons-oriented society comprised of fellow students like Gaten Matarazzo's Dustin Henderson. Munson became a fan-favorite with Stranger Things viewers, but the residents of Hawkins blamed him for the murder of Hawkins High's Chrissy Cunningham. While Eddie and the main Stranger Things characters discovered that the supernatural being Vecna was responsible for the murders of Chrissy and several other Hawkins residents, Eddie sacrificed himself to save his friends from Vecna's Demobats when they traveled to the Upside to defeat the villain. Although the group severely wounded Vecna, they were unable to clear Eddie's name and he died with few mourners because the town believed he was a murderer.

Arcane Season 2 ends the series, but Riot promises more stories from Runeterra. Co-creator Linke confirms new projects are in development.
