Bloober, developer of Cronos: The New Dawn, Layers of Fear, at least two Silent Hill games, and more, is once again teasing what would appear to be a new game. The tease itself is quite cryptic, which wouldn’t amount to much of a surprise if it’s merely alluding to the remake of the original Silent Hill that we already know about, suggesting that a new game announcement is imminent.
As seen on Twitter/X, Bloober has posted the link to a website that bears a strange, scrambled URL of letters, with the link bringing us to a countdown landing page. This website page is jam-packed with arresting, chilling clues as to what game it could be teasing.
The website page is soaked blood-red, features a distinct rose insignia, reads, “Some things never leave the walls. They only learn to wait,” and has a clickable audio byte with an ominous voice whose spoken passage has bits redacted by what sounds like static interference. Transcribed, this reads:
“Thou art sick… invisible… that flies in the night… howling storm has found out thy bed of crimson joy… dark secret… thy life destroy.”
Interestingly, this passage is actually from a William Blake poem...
