Classic Xbox 360 Launch Title Deserves a Remaster

Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie is considered by many to be one of the best games based on a movie, but the Xbox 360 version is difficult to come by nowadays. The Xbox 360 had a fairly impressive launch lineup, consisting of exclusive games like Kameo: Elements of Power and Perfect Dark Zero as well as multi-plat releases like Call of Duty 2, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, and Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie.

Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie is the long-winded title for a licensed game that was released in 2005, about a month before Peter Jackson's King Kong movie actually hit theaters. The game was directed by Michel Ancel, who created the Rayman series and the beloved Beyond Good & Evil. Published by Ubisoft, the game saw players going through a version of the movie's story, with gameplay switching between third-person King Kong segments and first-person action as Jack Driscoll. King Kong earned mostly positive reviews at the time of its launch and was nominated for multiple year-end awards, even managing to take home a few.
