One adventurous Elden Ring player has recently opted to turn the game's Mimic Tear boss fight into a comical repeat of their clash with Messmer the Impaler. This yielded some interesting footage that later made the rounds in the Elden Ring community, with their "dollar tree Messmer" consequently amusing many a fan.
As was the case with the base game, all Remembrance bosses in Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree expansion offer some valuable rewards for beating them. Many of them are obtainable by talking to Finger Reader Enia at the Roundtable Hold, who will grant them in exchange for Remembrances themselves. In the case of 
Messmer the Impaler , his Remembrance can be used to procure the Spear of the Impaler. Enia will occasionally also sell new equipment after certain bosses are defeated, with her special inventory being accessible by picking the "Receive equipment of champions" dialogue option.
