The Legend of Zelda franchise has enjoyed some real high points and obvious lows over the last forty years, and one of the most bizarrely divisive remains Skyward Sword. That's despite the game having a fairly solid argument for being one of, if not, the best Zelda game of all time, from story to playability.

Whatever you think of it, it's a very important part of the franchise as a whole, and the fact that players have been able to return to it on the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 can only be considered a good thing.

That said, one of the overriding complaints that players have had up to this point is that the game simply doesn't look right when played in handheld mode on the Switch 2. With that in mind, it seems a prime candidate for the Handheld Boost treatment, but it seems that isn't going to be the case any time soon.

As noted over on Reddit, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD is exempt from the Nintendo Switch 2's Handheld Boost system. If you aren't familiar with what that is, it essentially means that Nintendo Switch software being played in handheld or tabletop...
