By all appearances, Grand Theft Auto 6 is still on track for its current release date of November 19, 2026, but the status of its online component is a lot less clear. While a successor to GTA Online seems like a predictable component of the next franchise installment, Rockstar hasn't offered any word about when to expect one.
According to the latest leak, however, we might not have to wait long at all to see GTA 6's online component hit the market. It's far from an official confirmation, but that isn't stopping some fans of the franchise from getting excited.
X user TheGhostOfHope claimed today that "the current plan for GTA 6 is to launch online within a month after the release of the game," meaning that the next iteration of Grand Theft Auto Online should theoretically arrive before Christmas. The rumor doesn't come with any special backing, however. TheGhostOfHope simply claims to have heard the news from "someone," and disclaims that it's "up to you guys if you want to believe."
