Although Grand Theft Auto 5 was released on PC after the initial console rollout, it feels weird to see the same thing happening to Grand Theft Auto 6. From a marketing standpoint, it makes sense, as Rockstar gets to have a whole new launch and promotional period for a PC port if it happens later, but fans are wondering when we'll get concrete info on the inevitable PC release.
For now, fans are debating new info on X, and it could be coming sooner than expected.
Based on a new report from leaker DetectiveSeeds, a PC version of Grand Theft Auto 6 is allegedly planned for February 2027, just several months after the console launch. This plan could shift, and even then, it's supposedly slated to arrive "no later than FY 27," which ends in March 2027. In other words, it'll take roughly four months at maximum for the PC port to arrive.
This seems very soon, especially when you look at GTA 5's timeline from console to PC. It originally came out in September 2013 and hit PCs in April 2015. With a later PC launch, Rockstar gets two bites of the apple.
Some fans are hopeful, but...
