Pokemon fans should keep an eye on August 20, as that's when Gamescom Opening Night Live takes place. For Pokemon enthusiasts who may not be aware of what it is, Gamescom is essentially Europe's equivalent of E3/Summer Game Fest, with the event home to all kinds of big announcements and reveals over the years. This year's Gamescom will technically take place from August 21 to 25, but the event will kick off with a special Gamescom Opening Night Live presentation hosted by The Game Awards host Geoff Keighley.
As one of the year's biggest gaming events, many major companies make sure to attend Gamescom to show off their upcoming products. However, some of the industry's biggest companies will actually be skipping this year's Gamescom. It's been confirmed that PlayStation will not be at Gamescom this year, and neither will Nintendo. But while Nintendo itself won't be at Gamescom, a company associated with it has been confirmed for the event.
The Pokemon Company announces a new partnership that could lead to a Pokemon-themed amusement park attraction based on the original games.
As confirmed by the official Gamescom Twitter account, The Pokemon Company will be at Gamescom this year....
