Red Dead Redemption 2 is undoubtedly one of the best games of all time, and fans continue to play it in their thousands, despite it coming out almost eight years ago at this point. That said, there are some areas where fans would like to see the game improved, particularly as we aren't likely to get another game in the series for a long time to come yet.

The fact remains that the game was never designed to take advantage of the current generation of hardware, because it didn't exist at the time, and there are plenty of ways the experience could be improved with the power on offer in a PS5 or Xbox Series X. Unfortunately, that hasn't happened yet, and fans are starting to get a little tired at being left out in the cold.

Over on Twitter/X, the user Synth Potato shared a post in which they bemoaned the lack of a new release for Red Dead Redemption 2 that allows players to enjoy the game in 4K at 60 FPS. "The fact its May 2026 and there is still NO sign of Red Dead Redemption 2 getting official new gen PS5/XSX support is actually ridiculous....
