A marketing deal between Sony and Take-Two for the launch of Grand Theft Auto 6 may already be ready to go, according to a recent interview with Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick. However, Zelnick stated that any marketing deals between Take-Two and its corporate partners had no impact on the decision to make Grand Theft Auto 6 a console-exclusive title at launch.
The marketing rumors came amid a chaotic time for GTA 6 developer Rockstar Games, as the most anticipated game of 2026 is just over six months away from launch as of this writing. A recent review of Rockstar Games posted on Glassdoor accused the game developer of forcing harsh crunch conditions on GTA 6's QA staff, with shifts that can allegedly last until 3:00 AM local time. Given that Glassdoor reviews are anonymous, any posts made there should be taken with a fine grain of salt. As of this writing, Grand Theft Auto 6 is still scheduled to release worldwide on Thursday, November 19.
Fans waiting for Grand Theft Auto 6 news may want to circle May 21 on their calendars, as Take-Two is set to host its next quarterly earnings call.
