PlayStation players have a pretty good time of things between the regular sales and offers the platform puts out, and the opportunity to try games with a raft of demos and previews available for free. At the same time, those who subscribe to PlayStation Plus have an even better experience, with free games as part of their monthly fee.
The latter comes in three tiers, with additional rewards each month the higher up you go and the more you're willing to play. That said, there's still plenty of value to be had at the base level, and the Essentials tier is continuing to impress, despite not requiring too much outlay to get access to it.
The latest round of PlayStation Plus Essentials monthly games are now live for May, and there are some genuinely big titles this time around. The first of those for many wil undoubtedly be EA FC 26, the latest iteration of the beloved football game (you can't make me say soccer).
