Pokémon Monomyth Takes Players To A New Region This Fall

Pokémon games are in a bit of a weird place right now. Legends Z-A's Mega Dimension DLC launched 5 months ago, and the Gen 10 titles of Winds and Waves aren't expected until sometime in 2027. And while FireRed and LeafGreen have come to Switch, they aren't a part of Nintendo Switch Online, meaning fans have to purchase these games digitally. Understandably, that means some folks may be looking for new Pokémon games to play, and if they don't cost money, then even better.

This is where Pokémon Monomyth can come in. The reveal trailer on YouTube dropped over the weekend, announcing that after six years of development, the game is getting ready for release later this year. With a Fall 2026 release window, it'll arrive at a perfect time, about a year after Legends: Z-A launched but presumably a year away from Winds and Waves. So, if you're looking to fill a Pokémon void, this could be the game for you.
